Resulting from the gathering of several apple growers from the South of France, Pominter became a major private player amongst French apple exporters. The company, based in Montauban, Tarn et Garonne region, works hand-in-hand with historical local growers to value their harvests and ship their quality apples throughout the world.

Pominter expanded its footprint on international markets by relying on historical customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. In addition, Pominter always was amongst the pioneers on newly opened international markets thanks to its flexible structure and unique apple varieties allowing us to diversify our offer.

Who we are ?

Pominter is a member of INNATIS. Pominter specializes in selling and shipping fresh products (apples, pears, kiwi, grapes, peaches, apricots, etc.).

The fresh apple market accounts for 98% of our business.

Pominter has been located since its beginning in two of the three majors apple growing regions in France, Montauban in the South West and Cavaillon in the South East. The company’s business is exclusively done outside of France: in Europe and overseas. Pominter exports about 12 000 tons of fresh produce per year for revenue of roughly 12M€.

Pominter is a member of the ANPP (National Association for Apples and Pears) and “Le Crunch” to promote its products overseas.
The company is well-known for its proficiency and experience shipping French apples all around the globe, since 1976. Pominter relies on high-quality supply coming from Group Pomanjou and our partners’ orchards, produced following environment-friendly principles.

Pominter is renowned for its ability to constantly adapt to its customers’ quickly changing requirements depending on the markets we serve. To this end, we have a dynamic sales team and reactive logistic department. Pominter will inspect the quality of its merchandise on arrival anywhere in the world if need be, to support our customers and ensure 100% satisfaction.

  • 1955

    Pominter is founded with Mr. Lacharlotte as President. Its goal is to export French produce overseas.

  • 1970

    Creation of a SICA to still export French produce overseas.

  • 1978

    Transformation into SA Pominter with the same goal.

  • 1981

    Creation of the SICA Pominter to export the fruit grown by its members.

  • 1992

    SARL Pominter is born and Marc Rauffet becomes President in 2001.

  • 2006

    Pomanjou Group becomes a major shareholder through the merger of Pomidi and Pomexport.

  • 2008

    Headquarters moved to Cavaillon and a commercial office is created in the Midi-Pyrénées region, in Montauban.

  • 2015

    Pominter realizes 30% of its shipments using rail-road.

  • 2016

    Creation of an office in Beaucaire, to develop our presence on the French market.
